Ferne wanted a pared-back but fun room with a Teal colour scheme and pops of pink. We worked in elements of wood and rattan in the toys and accessories.

We included plenty of wooden toys to spark Sunday's imagination and ensure the Playroom was played in often and adored by everyone that uses it.
Design and Inspiration
We designed a half painted wall in "Fresh Foliage" by Dulux with mounted Ivar wall cupboards, lots of storage including the Trofast Toys sorters, and worked in texture with layered rugs to make the room feel cosy.
We kept the colour on the walls and worked with plenty of wooden toys as well as natural materials such as wicker, rattan and jute to modernise the space.

With wooden open-ended toys at the heart of the design, we created play stations for Sunday so she will continually be intrigued

...with the likes of a Magnetic Chalk board and Arts & Crafts station to Climbing Triangle, Slide, Teepee, Dolls House, Kitchen and Dressing up corner; this really is the playroom of dreams!

Chalkboard and Arts Corner

One of Ferne's initial requests was that Sunday had a table and chairs with a place for her to do her Arts & Crafts. Keen on a Chalkboard so that Sunday could get really creative whilst giving the room the WOW factor, we designed and custom built a Chalk board in a House shape to fix to the wall.

Teepee and Snug
Ferne chose the Nobodinoz Magic Green Teepee, which we used as colour inspiration for the rest of the room, ensuring that the wall colour was softer, but complimented the striking teal. With magical gold stars, this really is a cosy spot to sit, read and play peekaboo.
We continued the Gold Stars theme on the opposite wall with our Star Wall Stickers, going from the wall, onto the Ivar cabinets for a beautiful wall feature. The Cabinets were painted in Dulux Heritage high gloss Maritime Teal adding a darker contrast to match the Teepee.
We placed our Nobodinoz Magic Green Playmat and our Binibamba english made sheepskin rug inside to make the teepee extra enticing! Next to the Teepee is a small snug with two Bean Bags for Ferne and Sunday, Ferne sits on the Nobodinoz Essaouria Bean Bag in Magic Green and Sunday has the sensory soft eco-velvet pouffe in Bloom Pink.
Above the Bean Bags we placed two of our Cam Cam Copenhagen Harlequin shelves in Light Sand, to hold all of Sunday's favourite books.
Dolls House

Upon the big reveal, the Dolls House was the first toy that Sunday ran to!

Every child loves to create their own mini world, moving mini family members around, and creating every day situations. The Plan Toys Dolls House is the ultimate in sparking their imagination; with doors that open, and stairs that grace three floors, you can create different rooms and play scenarios for hours on end. For Sunday's Dolls House, we added Sebra Dolls House Furniture and family figures and as well as Olli Ella Holdie Folk for some variety. Sunday loved that you could put Mummy or baby on the toilet - a good way to enhance her understanding for her excellent progress in potty training!

Dressing Up Corner

A Dressing up Corner is every child's dream!

Using our Display Clothes Shelf, we created a destination where Sunday and her friends can play fancy dress and put on shows for the parents! Filled with in-demand Meri Meri dress up costumes, Sunday can be a Unicorn, Flamingo, Swan or Mermaid!
Kitchen & Market Stall
Sunday loves to play host and made us cups of play tea when we were there! After that, we just knew that we had to create her a space where she could make, bake, sell and shop. The Kids Concept Kitchen and Market Stall was the perfect fit with plenty to do and excellent functionality, not to mention the beautiful scandinavian design.

The Lakota Day Rug was the perfect fit for the room, a little bit bohemian but very modern, it tied everything together and made the room cosy.

The Petal Chair added the bright pop of pink that we needed to lift the colour palette, designed for kids - but it suits Mummy too!

The Alphabet Prints were custom made with Sunday's name on it, you too can custom design your own prints and choose the colour they are painted in - see here

The Round Jute Rug added a layering theme and focused the Dress Up corner space as it's own station - TOP TIP! Layering rugs can make a space feel more interesting and gives points of focus within one large space.

Rattan Accessories - A rattan Dolls Cot, kids chair, and contrasting mirrors made the space feel very modern, not to mention super cute! Rattan is the trend of the moment.

The Arts & Crafts table doubles up as somewhere for her friends to have a picnic tea when they come over - a handy bench sits underneath so it can sit 3-4 comfortably.

The Feather Lamp is seen everywhere from Celebrity homes to some of our Insta favourites - it was an obvious choice for this room! Adding texture and some warmth with the colour, we are obsessed with this lamp shade in every way.

The Climbing Frame and Slide was not only the cherry on top - but the most enticing toy! Sunday ran straight to it, climbed up and would get off! A true success.
