Sustainable Children's Brands

Kind on little ones and kind on our planet

What makes sustainable brands so special? When you buy eco-friendly children’s products, you prioritise quality and longevity, and choose non-toxic and organic materials for your child. You also support the community behind the factories and greener practices for planet Earth.

We believe in a more sustainable world for our children and us. This is why we work with brands that reflect this commitment and continue to find more innovative, eco-friendly ways to run our business.

Here are some of the fantastic ways our Scandinavian brands are designing and working.

Go Organic For Kids

Scandi design celebrates minimalism but Cam Cam Copenhagen takes it a step further by adding a touch of nostalgia and romanticism to the contemporary products. They draw on how parents look forward, but also reflect on past traditions.

The use of organic cotton is at the heart of Cam Cam Copenhagen. They are one of the few brands in the industry to become certified by following global leading standards within organic and sustainable production: GOTS, FSC, and OCS. Watch the video to learn more.

We are big fans of their prints and quality! We highly recommend their baby essentials - muslins, folding changing mats and the stunning Harlequin furniture collection.

Empowering Women & Communities

Olli Ella partners with artisans in Vietnam, China and India who handcraft each product to bring their designs to life. Olli Ella have created hundreds of jobs for women in the communities they work with, with fair pay and good working conditions.

The production of Luggy baskets gives farmers (most of them women) a stable job. With this job, they can work and take care of family at the same time...they don’t have to go far away to industrial or city areas to find a job and leave their children home.- Olli Ella Product Specialist

They are champions of using recycled and natural materials. All Olli Ella baskets, rugs and wares are fully compostable. Wheels on luggys and strolleys are made using recycled plastic.

Olli Ella are a B Corp. B Corp is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. We salute you, Olli Ella!

Bye Bye Plastic!

Kid's Concept specialises in wooden toys. They aim to reach at least 80% FSC-certified wood in their range before 2023.

During their design process, they focus on creating gender neutral high-quality toys that last. Toys that can be passed on from big sister to little brother or traded second hand. Their designers are inspired by their own old toys and toys from second hand shops.

Did you know that Kid's Concept continuously build on their spare parts stock? Meaning you can replace parts instead of throwing away the toy.

They choose paper, cardboard and recycled textile packaging where possible instead of plastic. Compact parcels mean less delivery vans are needed.

If you're interested in Montessori toys and play, The Modern Nusery mums recommend the Kid Concept's Bead Frame Neo, Kid's Concept Scales and their toy musical instruments collection.

Made To Grow With Your Family

Oliver Furniture makes solid wooden furniture for children's bedrooms. Their cots and beds adapt as your child and family grows, with the intent that the
furniture will last through generations. Saving the environment and also saving your wallet.

The Oliver Furniture Mini+ Cot is a great example. From classic cot to junior bed, the Mini+ Cot can be set in five different positions. Later, the beds can be transformed into other styles in the collection with the conversion kits. For example, to the Loft Bed or Bunk Bed. We think it's super clever!

The various options may seem overwhelming, but our Customer Service Team are happy to advise on Oliver Furniture to help you decide which design suits you and your family's needs.

Oliver Furniture source wood from certified forests and other controlled sources. Finished products are treated with only non-toxic water based lacquer and paint.
